In recent years, it has been demonstrated that the immune system has a crucial role in fighting a series of complex diseases, such as infectious diseases, neurological diseases and cancer. For example, thanks to Immunotherapy, the life expectancy of patients with metastatic melanoma or lung cancer is incredibly improved. This is thanks to the contribution of great scientists and the ability of the Pharmaceutical Industry to bring to the patient new solutions born of Research. Immunotherapy always comes from experimentation and validation in animal models. Veterinary medicine can play a fundamental role in innovative therapies such as Vaccines. Like us, our friends dogs and cats get sick with Cancer and Infectious Diseases. VITARES intends to promote research in the field of immunology and create networks of collaboration between basic researchers, human and veterinary medicine. In order to provide the tools of knowledge and to promote the right information on emerging therapies, VITARES supports training activities at all levels, from schools, to patient associations and health professionals.
8 November 2019 – VITARES organizes the First Therapeutic Antibody Workshop in Rome.
We are pleased to announce the 1st Therapeutic Antibody Workshop: along the path from Target Genes to Patients which will take place on 8 November 2019 at Castel Romano, Rome.
29 January 2019 - Announcing the First Congress of VITARES, Veterinary Immunotherapy and Translational Research - 27 February-1 March 2019, Castel Romano, Rome.
Public health initiatives such as One Health demonstrate the growing awareness of the fact that animal and human health are strongly interconnected with each other and with the environment.
25-26 June 2018 – VITARES holding a training course in Bioimaging
Hope to meet you at the first VITARES course dedicated to theoretical and practical aspects of bioimaging.
Aim of the course is to describe the up-to-date technologies available for the imaging of biological processes in tissues, organoids and animal models.
In Oncology, the search for new immunological therapies requires major investments.
VITARES aims to contribute significantly to a greater culture of translational experimentation.
Young researchers must be supported today in their journey to become the authors of tomorrow's drugs.
